Christmas stories have messages that has us thinking about our own lives.

My family and friends know I love the Christmas Movies. Yes they also know I watch them in July, when they start again in October to the end of December. Hallmark has certainly amped up the Christmas Movies this year. Yahoo!!!

A Dance in the Snow movie hit my heart and had tears rolling down my face.

I am not going to tell you about the show as it is important you to know the story behind the poem but I am going to share a poem that was stated by the actress in the movie. The poem captures how our mind can have assumptions about situations we face in out complex world. She stated the author - Daniel Hartman ( he was a school teacher in the movie who shared poems and stories in his class).

"A voice inside so quick to chide

Casting doubts both far and wide

Your not enough, it often cries

Planting fears and spreading lies

Assumptions form we start to fear

Other eyes will sear and jeer but

Listen close you will see a strength,a bold decree

Question the thoughts that cloud your mind

Leave those fears behind

For in your heart a truth so bright

Silence the doubt and step into the light"

This is gift from me to you - question your assumptions that appear in your life.

This fit into the webcast I listened to yesterday. The speaker Bryce Hoffman: who shared information about Red Team Thinking stated In the transcript I printed - "we need tools to help us cope with this volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous, and hyperconnected world."

He is speaking my language. Since our family started facing our family Mental Health Challenge in 1995 and realizing the entire family needed tools, we were lost. There were no groups to teach us the tools we needed, we had to learn by trial and error. Other Family members supporting a loved NEED tools especially this mom who did not have the insight or knowledge of how to approach volatile stiatuations.

Developing tools, reading books, listening to those living with mental health challenges and trained through Coach U how to coach others HOW TO approach situations with less doubt and more confidence is what I love to do to guide families. Who knew an adversity in life could be the work I do to make an impact and difference for others.

Having an assumption that it didn't seem possible to impact others faced with similar challenges would be the work I do since 1997 when I initiated the idea we had to help the family members supporting a loved to have the tools to sustain their relationships.

Who would have thought an adversity in our own life for have me loving what I do - coaching families through their complex situations.

What about you - Where are you at in your life? What challenges have you faced? What assumptions do you have? What fears do you have? Don't face the CHALLENGES ALONE, reach out as the journey is less lonely and more supportive than you think.

The 172 participants piloted equating to 117 families have been postively impacted with an average overall satisfaction evaluation 91%. Our Self-Directed Peer Support continues to support those completing the 10-week sessions. Our strength-based program includes a Flourishing Life Questionnaire to provide the strengths you have and areas of growth to compliment your strengths.

Everyone keeps asking for good browser games, and I always end up recommending https://thedriftboss.com/. It's quick to start, challenging enough to keep improving, and perfect whenever you just want a fun gaming break.
